Cumhurbaşkanı Erdoğan'ın Yunan karşıtı olmadığını vurgulayan Rama, "Şunu çok iyi bildiğinize inanıyorum: Cumhurbaşkanı Erdoğan, henüz başbakanken bile Kıbrıs konusunda masaya bir anlaşma atmaya cesareti olan bir kişidir. Hatırlarsınız, Ankara'daki kariyeri açısından oldukça tehlikeli bir şeydi ve o bunu yaptı." ifadelerini kullandı.
Rama, şunları kaydetti:
"Yunanistan'ın karşılaştığı ağır kriz sırasında (Cumhurbaşkanı Erdoğan'ın) bu durumdan istifade edip olayı daha da ağırlaştırdığını görmedim çünkü Yunanistan'ı yerle bir etmek isteseydi ya da Yunanistan'ı yerle bir etmeye niyetli olsaydı o, durumdan istifade ederek, mültecileri kullanarak krizi daha da acı bir şeye dönüştürebilirdi ama bunu yapmadı. Gerçekten de ben, onda (Cumhurbaşkanı Erdoğan) hiçbir zaman Yunanistan'a ve Yunan halkına karşı kötü duygular besleyen bir şahsiyet görmedim."

Rama on Turkish-Greek relations
The Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama stated that they have a strategic partnership agreement with the President of the Republic Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
In the interview he gave to the Greek press, Rama mentioned various issues, including the relations with Turkey and Greece.
Rama estimated, "We have a strategic partnership agreement with the President of the Republic Erdogan, but I don't think we should choose between the President of the Republic Erdogan or (Greek Prime Minister) Kyriakos Mitsotakis, between Greece and Turkey. We love them both. The fact that you don't love each other very much shouldn't be a problem for us to love you both.''
The Albanian Prime Minister also referred to the areas of maritime jurisdiction between Albania and Greece,
"The President of the Republic Erdoğan in no way, never asked what is happening regarding this matter. In no case. Never. He (President Erdogan) does not need Albania to continue his struggles."
After emphasizing that the President of the Republic Erdogan is not anti-Greek, Rama said:
"I think you know it very well: The President of the Republic Erdogan is a man who had the courage to bring an agreement on the Cyprus issue to the table even when he was prime minister. Remember, it was a very dangerous thing for his career in Ankara and he did it."
Rama noted:
"During the serious crisis faced by Greece, I did not see that (the President of the Republic Erdogan) took advantage of this situation and worsened the situation, because if he wanted to destroy Greece or if he had the intention to destroy Greece, he would have taken advantage the situation, using refugees and could turn the crisis into something even more painful but it didn't. Indeed, I have never seen in him a personality that harbors bad feelings for Greece and the Greek people."
